THE MEDALS OF THE FIPGC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

The medals of the FIPGC World Championships of Pastry Ice Cream and Chocolate and the FIPGC World Championships of Cake Design are made by the Omea company of Milan that over the last 130 years is working in this field.

To realize the medals, they first start by the creation of the sketches and the making of the models, and in our case, with the brand of the International Federation of Pastry Ice Cream and Chocolate which is reproduced with the three-dimensional pantograph by the sculptor.

Technical characteristics the Medals

It is used a round metal with the diameter of 8 cm, placed under a 1000 tons press. The press compresses the metal which gains the image back and forth of the medals; the access metal is removed by a lathe so the edges of the medal are perfect. To give sheen to the relief of the medal, it is passed over a cleaner creating contrasts with shiny and matt.

Immediately after they are immersed into a hot gold bath and galvanized, so that the precious metal will properly stuck to the medals, drying shall take place.

At the end, with a diamond-tip, the writings are engraved and to allow the winners to wear them, the Federation branded ribbons are fixed.
